News FLASH! My Pixels Make a Move!

Hello, fellow Deviants!
I've decided to move all the stuff I've done with bases to my base account, FLASHYbases. I just think it makes more sense for my based pixel stuff to live over there, so... yup.
The stuff already in my current gallery will just be copied to FLASHY. I mean, there's 3 collab things in there! Removing them entirely from here is just too damn confusing!!
From here-on, anything base work I make will live on FLASHY, not here!
So if you still wanna any of base pixelly stuff, watch FLASHY if you haven't already.
AH! But my SSMU dolls are exempt! No SSMU for you, FLASHY!
On another note... I'M SICK OF BEING SICK. FM FREAKIN L!!

My self submission to Socially Unacceptable Art was horrible enough to become a post! Remember this failure? What? Now you need proof? THEN CHECK THIS BITCH OWT, JERKWADS. sociallyunacceptableart.tumblr…. They specialize in featuring disgusting-concept art and bad beginner works- it's cruel, but in a funny way. And then you self-submit and have it released to mingle with awful recolors and fetish art. That seriously boosts my confidence.
No. Really.
NekoMimiStudios is a beloved embarrassment. I still can't bring myself to kill NekoMimi, no matter how disgusting it may be, thus why it's labeled a "nostalgia account" and not...dead. Anyhoo, about this time last year, I was really starting to improve- working on body types, messing with poses, studying some anatomy, yadda yadda yadda. But all the crap from 2008-2010 was still there to haunt me. Not just the horrible art, but the Madison of deviations past.

A WEEABOO. There! I said it! So much kawaiiness and forced "nyaa"s and even the user name! Reality finally bitch-slapped me in the face last year and I realized it was time to move on.
Thus NekoFlash was born. And then it gave birth to Nimrod Snazz.
Having something from the NekoMimi days deemed as horrible is the last push I needed.
It cured my sugar coating-induced "diabetes", lifted a huge weight offa my conscience... More than that, I truly feel confident I'll do well in the epic quest we artists call improving our craft. So thank you, Socially Unacceptable Art, for making a woman outta me!!

Welcome to Meow Mix 2.0; The Random Musings of Nimrod Snazz!
I need to stop experimenting with new iPad apps. It's becoming an addiction... On the upside, some cool stuff has come out of it. Like, all those bold-line doodles I've been uploading? Thank Inkflow for that. And I've got a lot more got-on-a-whim crap like this thing where you draw a picture and record a sound with it, and then you can use it as a talkin clipart thing!!
I'm unhealthily entertained by that thing.
And then today I got some animation app and made a test animation in, like, 5 minutes. Zeus was my guinea pig. He's ALWAYS my guinea pig. At least he's happy about it...

AH. *slaps self on forehead* I haven't done any form of animation in a good 3 years... So, hey. At least this hunk o' crap is meaningful.

Other than that, nothing else is new. If ya' haven't noticed, my new penname somehow became Nimrod Snazz along the way. I usually go as Snazz on forums and such, so that makes some sense. Nimrod... I've gotten obsessed with that word. 'Nuff said. I like it a lot more than NekoFLASH but can't change my username, so the best I can do is sign off as Nimrod Snazz from here onwards.
I offically started my attempt at a 100 themes challenge on Y!Gallery. Yeah, I know I keep talking about this crap and never follow through with 'em. attention span, y u no good? (though I really have been too busy to finish my Before and After challenge. All I have is a rough lineart...
)
But I really have faith in it this time. I've been on a major roll with my drawing- Seriously, I'm halfway finished with the first picture! (my urge to draw has been against my will at times, so it'll be kinda theraputic, too.
) I'm gonna be uploading them here as I finish 'em, so we'll see where it goes. I can't make any solid promises, okay?
With that, I bid thee FAREWELL!!

Meow Mix 2.0: HOLY PRINCESS EMERAUDE

Welcome to Meow Mix 2.0, the random musings of a quirky cat girl!
The one thing I asked my parents for my birthday was money for NanDesuKan last weekend. So I hit the dealers' room with $100 Sunday (my birthday) and came across a surprising find: A doll of Hikaru Shidou from Magic Knight Rayearth WITH a separate dress set included! (here's a picture I found of both: www.toyhell.com/images/magic-k…) Thus I got my favorite find of the day for $20. It's hard to find stuff from Magic Knight Rayearth- one of my favorite series for the past 5 years- despite being by CLAMP and being quite famous when it came out in the early 1990s.
So I was lookin' at Hikaru again today and found that she and her dress set are original 90s products. I hopped on Google to find out the exact year they came out. I didn't find that date. But screw that!! I found out something even better....
She's a limited-edition Sega doll and is considered a rare vintage figure!
The price of the doll alone on eBay, open or mint, ranged from $47-$85. And to think I got her AND a dress set for just $20!!
'Course, I don't plan on selling her. It just amazed me that I got such a great deal. Either way, I don't care about the value or collectable-ness. I got a Hikaru doll, she's MINE, and damn straight I'm taking her outta that box to enjoy her!!
On another note, I hate colds. *coughs up another peice of her lungs*
